Jazz Boutique is a sophisticated yet versatile jazz band featuring vocalist Rachael Roberts.

The band specialises in performing popular standards from the 30s, 40s and 50s, made famous by legendary figures such as Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan.

JAZZ BACKGROUND

Alongside Rachael’s songwriting she has, over the years, developed a love affair with jazz. She began performing jazz standards with The Chaser Quartet in 2003 which subsequently saw the band record a jazz album in London. She continues to perform with fellow jazz musicians at private and public events across the country and has performed live as part of a jazz duo on BBC Radio.

Inspired by the vocal performances of the great legendary figures such as Billie Holiday, Astrud Gilberto and Sarah Vaughan, Rachael performs standards in ballad, bossa nova and swing styles.  Rachael and her father Tony Roberts(Saxophone) often perform together, which she feels is a great honour, given her father’s professional jazz background.
